A special evening at the Jarrow Crusade Exhibition

A special evening at the Jarrow Crusade Exhibition and Descendants Reception at the House of Commons.

The exhibition brought the story of the Jarrow Crusade to life through previously unseen photographs and items from Ellen Wilkinson’s private collection. A powerful reminder of the people, determination and communities that shaped the town’s history.

At the reception, Kate Osborne MP, our Chairman Alan Donnelly and Alison McGovern MP spoke about the importance of creating skilled jobs for the future and giving young people the opportunity to build rewarding careers.

It was a privilege to sponsor the reception and celebrate a history that remains so relevant today. With deep roots in Tyne’s shipbuilding heritage, we have an important role in carrying that legacy forward, investing in skills, supporting local jobs and creating opportunities for the next generation.

Thank you to everyone who shared their stories that made the evening so wonderful.
